“Soul Stirrings” is a column Joyce writes every few months for Cadence International’s Mission News. Her husband, David Schroeder, is president of Cadence, a ministry to military personnel and communities around the world. These reflections are shared in the spirit of Cadence’s theme verse, I Thessalonians 2:8: “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us."
This book is the gathering of stories and pictures from the early years (1950's-1960's) of O.C.S.C./Cadence International. The faithfulness of God and the faithfulness of people is recounted in this glimpse into a ministry dedicated to "sharing the Gospel and our lives with the military community."
